Part I: Read chapter two and respond to the following:

1. Compare, contrast, and discuss why higher frequencies are used for superficial structures and low frequencies are used for deep structures.
2. Further explain and identify the direct/ indirect relationships between frequency, depth penetration, and spatial resolution utilizing high versus low frequencies.
3. Further discuss how this information is useful when scanning an obese or an emaciated patient.
