Please choose a product and write about it in as much detail as you can.
You can choose any product you like—it may be best to choose one you are familiar with and/or use on a regular basis. However, no smartphones! In order to get full points, please try to incorporate as much as you can from the units we will cover in the book over the course of the term.
Think about the product from start to finish. The original concept and history →the manufacturing→ supply chains ->the marketing/advertising→the distribution channels
You don’t need to be overly detailed—for example, if you write about the Nintendo Switch, you don’t need to explain how and where the plastic was made, where the raw materials for the components were sourced, etc. It’s fine to talk about where it was manufactured at the base level. Just try to give as much information as you can touching on the product’s history, target audience, branding, manufacturing, distribution channels, advertising, etc.
Also think about the market cycle of the product. Where is it on the product life cycle? Will it stay in the same stage for a while, or will it change? Why do you think so?
