Report with Recommendations for AI Technologies Adoption in a Healthcare Organization
A manager or leader in any organization needs to be competent in various forms of written communication. From getting the job you want, dealing with customers or clients, to managing your team, being able to communicate effectively in writing will assist you each step of the way. This final assessment will require you to write a report with trending technologies analysis and your adoption recommendations, based on the scenario provided below.
This analytical report assumes you in a are a manager or leader in a healthcare organization. You were tasked with developing a report that provides a detailed analysis and persuasive recommendations for the adoption (or not) of AI technologies. Your report writing will start with a ChatGPT-generated draft, which will then be edited and expanded upon to include a comprehensive analysis of the pros and cons of AI implementation, addressing critical issues such as privacy, reliability, confidentiality, and overall cybersecurity threats.
The report needs to be written in standard report format:

- A cover page and table of contents (not included in the page count),
- A one-page executive summary that provides the most important conclusions of the report,
- The body of the report (5-7 pages) that includes an introduction, problem statement, summaries of information about current AI technology adoption trends, at least one chart or table to present quantitative information, your synthesis of what the trends mean for you, your team, and your organization, followed by your recommendations for how the organization should position itself to take advantage of the trends. Be sure to describe how your analysis supports your recommendations.
- Cite at least five reliable sources, such as scholarly articles from the library databases, industry-based web sites, government web sites or reports, and books that summarize research in the industry. Avoid web-based sources that do not have clearly identified authors or publishers whose credentials you cannot verify, such as Wikipedia. Also avoid popular magazines, blogs, and newspapers, except as sources that reflect how a trend is being covered in these sources. Provide in-text citations in APA format for all information and ideas that aren’t your own.

Use a standard 12-point font, double-space the text, and use headings to help the reader follow the content. Follow the APA sample paper provided in the orientation course – it is also linked in this module.
Reflective Video (about 5 minutes)
After submitting the report, you will record and upload a reflective 5-minute video discussing the process of using ChatGPT and refining the draft into a final report.
Your reflection should cover:
1. Reflection on Process (6%)
- Describe how you used ChatGPT to generate the initial draft of your report.
- What queries did you use? How did your research influence your queries?
- Assess the quality of the initial ChatGPT draft and identify gaps or issues that needed improvement.
- Discuss the editing process: How much did you need to revise the ChatGPT-generated content? How did your edits improve clarity, accuracy, or compliance with healthcare regulations?
- Provide specific examples of changes made to the draft.
- Evaluate ChatGPT’s usefulness: Was the tool helpful in drafting your report, or did it introduce challenges? Reflect on whether using ChatGPT was worth the effort.
2. Presentation Delivery (4%)
- Use effective communication techniques, including:
- Screen sharing to show your ChatGPT queries and resulting draft.
- Engaging volume, tone, and speed of speech.
- Clear structure and coherence in your presentation.
- Time management: the video should not exceed 5 minutes.
