Assignment 2A: Improve your Professional Development Plan (PDP) and Assignment 2B: Portray Your Relational/Systemic Professional Identity

Assignment 2A: Improve your Professional Development Plan (PDP)

Instructions

For this assignment, you will revisit the professional development plan (PDP) you completed in DMFT-7501. Based on what has occurred since that course, update and revise your PDP to reflect your current situation.

Length: 3 to 4-page professional development plan

References: Scholarly references may be included but are not required for this assignment.

Assignment 2B: Portray Your Relational/Systemic Professional Identity

Instructions

For this assignment, you will reflect on your evolution as a relational/systemic practitioner and your current professional identity. Think of it as a professional biography—an expanded version of your narrative that might go at the end of a book or on a website. Create a brochure to showcase your professional biography incorporating the feedback received in CMP-9611M and subsequent coursework. The primary aim of the assignment is for you to prepare a resource describing you as a professional you can share with individuals and organizations in both your current and future networks.

Consider the following as you prepare your brochure:

• Describe your training and experience to date.
• What skills do you have?
• What services do you provide?
• What services do you want to mention that you do not provide?
• Who is the ideal recipient of your service?
• In what ways do you demonstrate cultural humility or sensitivity to diversity, equity, and social justice in your professional activities?
• How are you connected to other professionals or services?

Length: 2-page trifold brochure (which likely translates into six columns of information—3 per page), along with a separate reference list to document those sources you cited in preparing your brochure.

References: Include a minimum of 3 scholarly references.
