It is important that you indicate within your answer your awareness of Innovation and Technology Transfer and how these impact upon your selected organisation.

Task
The board members for your organisation have suggested that you consider a plan to improve the organisations competitive position within the market, using innovation and technology transfer. Innovation makes a great difference and assists continuous improvement practices, these practices are to be introduced to increase agility and responsiveness as the business is undergoing economic challenges and increase competition. As a senior Manager you will need to consider the following:
- The potential benefits of innovation within the business?
- The barriers to innovation and technology transfer and how you will overcome these?
- How you would manage and enhance innovation management?
Taken the above into account, write a 700 word briefing note for the attention of the board members on your proposal for an improved innovation and growth approach.
The structure of the briefing note should be:
- Introduction (where you briefly state the purpose of the briefing note)
- The proposal for (this should include the potential benefits and drawbacks of the proposal)
- Conclusion (where you outline your implementation plan for the approach, this should also include how you would overcome any potential drawbacks).
- Bibliography (not included in the word count)
The briefing note should draw from academic literature (theory) and professional practice material. It is expected that you cite your academic and professional sources correctly using the Harvard method.
