The study is to assess the prevalence
of substance abuse/use in the workplace as an aspect of overall mental health
and the impact on workplace safety. It is to assess the problem of substance
abuse/use in the workplace generally in the US and specifically in Ohio.
Research the common substances used in the workplace. Specifically assess the substance
use challenge in Ohio, the impact on workplace injuries and workers’
compensation claim. The study also reviews regulations about substance use in
the workplace and examines the reasons why there is limited enforcement of
“no-substance use” policy in the workplace.
