STOP AND READ
1. Before submitting your first draft, make sure to read and follow all the instructions in the ‘Argumentative Paper Detailed Instructions’ document attached to this Week 6.
2. Remember, the paper must be in APA style, state a CLEAR thesis statement at the end of Paragraph 1 (introduction), include a Cover page (1 page), Introduction (1 paragraph), Body (3 paragraphs – each developing a subpoint), Counterargument (1 paragraph), and Conclusion (1 paragraph), References on a separate page (1-2 pages) with at least five (5) sources. It must not be less than 700 words and have 6 paragraphs.
3. It must be the same topic that you chose for Discussion # 3.
- Is climate change a real big threat to the world? or
- Social media brings us together and pulls us apart; do you believe that the great outweighs the bad or vice versa? or
- Many states have begun to decriminalize the possession of certain drugs like marijuana; is this a good idea? or
- Should the United States provide free healthcare to all American citizens?
4. Papers written using any Artificial Intelligence software will not be accepted, and it will be considered an act of academic dishonesty.
5. Late papers will be graded with the points penalty stated in the instructions.
6. DO NOT attach your essay as an external link or document; attach it by clicking on the Attachment icon (Paperclip symbol) in the menu bar at the top.
