Your interview must be with a professional in a related field. It should be conducted live, in person, via an online video platform, or by telephone. Interviews may not be conducted via email correspondence.
You will ask the interview questions below and provide a summary of the interview and an analysis of the knowledge gleaned. Feel free to expand upon the questions after hearing your interviewee’s responses. You may need to ask follow-up questions to ensure the responses are adequate and substantive for the written portion of this assignment. - What are the most important environmental factors that impact the development of persons you provide services for in the field?
- What are the most important psychosocial factors that impact the development of persons you provide services for in the field?
- What are the most important cultural factors that impact the development of persons you provide services for in the field?
- In what ways has your understanding of lifespan development aided you in bridging cultural differences with your clientele?
- How do you incorporate developmental theories and considerations into your work?
- How do you incorporate cultural and contextual models and considerations into your work?
- Please share an example of a case where developmental, cultural, and/or contextual considerations were addressed in your work with a client, student, or organization.
- In what ways has your developmental stage(s) impacted your work as a professional in the field?
- In what ways have your cultural influences impacted the work that you do as a professional in the field?
- Considering your work in psychology and developmental, cultural, and contextual considerations with clients, what advice would you give to a new colleague in your specialization area?
Following the interview, provide a summary and analysis of your interview, including the following:
- Information about your interviewee
- A written summary of your interviewee’s responses to the ten questions. Your summary should be a minimum of 2 pages.
- At least a two-page analysis of the impact of developmental-, cultural-, and contextual-related challenges discussed during the interview. This should include an application of developmental, cultural, and/or contextual developmental theories. Discuss six key takeaways related to lifespan development and related work. Finally, share examples of the impact of developmental, cultural, and contextual challenges identified through the interview.
You should use the Unit 6 Assignment Template and should be a minimum of 4 pages (TEMPLATE IS ATTACHED). Your assignment should include the following:
- A written summary of your interviewee’s responses to the ten questions. Your summary should be a minimum of 2 pages.
- At least a two-page analysis of the impact of developmental-, cultural-, and contextual-related challenges discussed during the interview. This should include an application of developmental theories and cultural and/or contextual developmental models. Discuss six key takeaways related to lifespan development and related work . Finally, share examples of the impact of developmental, cultural, and contextual challenges identified through the interview.
Your paper should also include the following:
- Title page: Provide your name, assignment title, course and section number, and date.
- Body: Address all the questions in complete sentences and paragraphs.
- Your responses should reflect professional writing standards, using proper tone and language. The writing and writing style should be correct and accurate, reflecting knowledge of skills and practice in psychology.
- Reference page: Sources listed in APA format. Cite your interview, textbook, and at least one additional scholarly resource to support your interview and analysis.
- Use Arial or Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced and left-aligned.
- Standard 1″ margins on all sides.
- Use current APA formatting and citation style.
