Peer-Review Discussion Thread: Creating a Conceptual Model of Military Leadership
Create a discussion post (according to course standards below in the instructions) on what you assess as the key characteristics of effective military leadership. Make sure you assess at least three to seven major characteristics of effective military leadership using the course material presented in this module–as well as others you may select. (Using additional sources is optional.) Secondly, create a graphic–a conceptual model of your key military leadership characteristics as illustrated in the course video, Watch: Military Leadership: A Conceptual Model. Make sure to include the graphic conceptual model in your post.
Overview
A major objective in these discussions is to demonstrate security-specific research design by selecting, evaluating, and applying high-quality sources accurately cited. Keep in mind the Discussions are not blogs and are not summary statements using course materials. Students should avoid general sources, low-quality sources, and irrelevant sources. Make sure to apply the quality research standards explained in the course to create well-researched and analytic assessments that meet graduate school competencies.
Instructions
The student will complete one Peer-Review Discussions in this course. The student will post one thread of at least 350 words and a file upload and then the student must post 2 replies of at least 100 words. For each thread, students must support their assessments by utilizing at least two of the four information streams: scholarly, practitioner, adversary literature and documents, and population perceptions (human domain). News articles and other sources can be used judiciously. Make sure to use citations in the current APA format. Each reply should incorporate at least 1 quality source cited in the current APA format in order to keep the discussions focused on quality analysis rather than conjecture. Remember, not all students in this program confess Christianity and thus, are not required to employ or espouse a Christian worldview in their posts or replies.
Again, support your answers using high-quality sources. Make sure to avoid using only the textbook, lectures, and primary sources provided in the course (course material) but rather demonstrate security-specific research approaches posited in this course and security research publications.
