It should has a thesis, with a hook or a story to start. It has paragraphs with main point and support the main points in each paragraph.You can use a combination of these methods too. Your next step is to do at least a brief outline. Our assignments are about 3-5 pages so that is approximately five paragraphs(on average 7-10 sentences each). So for the outline you need to figure out what each paragraph will be about. For example:
Paragraph 1- introduction and your thesis statement, your main point. The good news is I will be giving you a question so your thesis should be an answer to that question.
Paragraph 2- supporting point #1 and examples
Paragraph 3- supporting point #2 and examples
Paragraph 4- supporting point #3 and examples
Paragraph 5- conclusion and concluding statements
