Chapter 3 &4 : Methodology & finding – The Impact of Interest Rate Changes on the Profitability of Local Banks in Qatar

Project Brief: Dissertation Methodology & Results Development Topic: The Impact of Interest Rate changes on Bank Profitability in Qatar Scope of Work: I require assistance in completing two major chapters of my dissertation: 1. Methodology Chapter – Approximately 3,000 words • Provide a comprehensive explanation of the research design, data collection, variables, and econometric modelling approach. • Use EViews, SPSS, or both software packages, with a clear justification for their selection based on the type of analysis conducted. • Apply all statistical tests outlined in my methodology framework, including (but not limited to): • Pooled OLS • Fixed Effects Model • Random Effects Model • Hausman Test • GMM Dynamic Panel • Multicollinearity Test • Autocorrelation Test • Heteroskedasticity Test • Sub-sample Analysis • Dummy Variable Analysis • Interaction Effects between interest rate and bank type • Justify the use of quarterly data and the time horizon (2014–2024). 2. Results and Findings Chapter – Approximately 3,000 words • Conduct full statistical analysis using the selected software (EViews, SPSS, or both). • Present results in tables, charts, and graphs to clearly illustrate findings. • Interpret results in the context of the hypotheses and link them to existing literature. • Ensure all EViews/SPSS outputs are included in an appendix. Data Requirements: • Quarterly data for a 10-year period (2014–2024) • Data sourced from reliable publicly available sources (e.g., central bank reports, bank financial statements, official databases) • Include bank profitability indicators such as: • ROA (Return on Assets) • ROE (Return on Equity) • NIM (Net Interest Margin) • Include relevant interest rate data from the Qatar Central Bank. • Cover Qatari banks, classified into Islamic and conventional banks. Deliverables: • 3,000-word methodology chapter (with software justification and model explanation) • 3,000-word results & findings chapter (with interpretation linked to literature) • All tables, graphs, and statistical outputs embedded in the text and appended in a separate appendix • Clear citations and referencing from reputable academic and professional sources Expectations: • Work should meet postgraduate academic standards • Analysis must be transparent, reproducible, and supported by academic justification • All figures, tables, and graphs should be neatly formatted and labelled for direct inclusion in the dissertation
