For this assignment, you will investigate the selected human services organization and its services and programs for the diverse populations of your local community in order to assess the theoretical foundations for your final paper. Additionally, you will apply the generalist model to the organization’s service delivery methods in order to determine the best practices and possible recommendations for new services and programs.

Assignment Instructions

Use the organization you selected in the Week 1 journal to create an annotated bibliography.

In your annotated bibliography,

• Identify 10 credible or scholarly sources (5 years or newer unless they are seminal works).
• Summarize each source with an annotation that identifies the main points.
• Examine the strengths of the content, the methods used, and the findings.

You will investigate the following in your Human Services and Practice final paper, and they should serve as guidelines for your sources and annotations:

• Identify the services your selected organization provides for various age groups.
• Examine the various roles and educational requirements to assist each population.
• Investigate the cultural competency needed for the various populations that receive services from the selected organization.
• Select two theoretical perspectives that can improve cultural competency while working with teen and older populations receiving services at your selected organization.
• Describe how the generalist model can be applied to the selected organization’s service delivery methods.
• Create a table of additional services that your selected organization may provide to various populations and age groups in the future.
• Summarize your ideas of best practices when working as a human services professional with various age groups and multicultural populations in your local community.
