Assignment Description
1. Reflective Essay (40 points)
Write a 750- to 1,000-word reflective essay addressing the following:
Growth and Development: How have you grown in your nursing skills and clinical judgment since Week 1?
Application of Knowledge: Provide examples of how virtual simulations enhanced your understanding of safe patient care.
Ethics and Communication: Discuss a key ethical decision or communication challenge you encountered during the course.
Cultural Competence: Reflect on your ability to provide inclusive, patient-centered care in a diverse healthcare setting.
Formatting: Use APA 7th edition for citations if referencing external sources.
2. Comprehensive Patient Care Plan (60 points)
Based on a provided virtual patient scenario (select a simulation from ATI), create a detailed care plan.
Include the following components:
Assessment (10 points):
Analyze the patient’s data (vital signs, lab results, history, and symptoms). – Identify primary and secondary issues.
Nursing Diagnoses (10 points):
Include at least two priority nursing diagnoses using NANDA-I standards.
Patient Goals (10 points):
