Assignment topic is the attack which occurred in New Orleans January 1 st , 2025. I would like to write about Shamsud-Din Jabbar and the crime he committed.

Examine a High-Profile Case to Assess the “Completed Investigation and Analysis” (student’s choice). Select a particular crime with which you have some familiarity. For example, a high-profile homicide, mass shooting, sexual assault, kidnapping, bombing, terrorist incident, or other case of interest. Compare and contrast the various investigative techniques applied to reconstruct events and identify the offender. In addition, include responses to the following: • Critique the investigation, including evidence detection, collection, and documentation procedures. • Was the evidence obtained legally? • Was a search warrant necessary? Why or why not? • Outline the potential crime scene, contamination, if any, and the chain of custody of the evidence. Include a summary of the court testimony of the forensic scientist and the expert witness. • What evidence was used to convict or exonerate? • Provide an overall critique and evaluation of the investigation. • Would you convict the offender based on the available evidence and testimony? Why or why not? • Support your Research Paper with at least 4 resources, excluding the course text. No Wikipedia, Blogs, etc. Resources must be credible. As stated in the course syllabus, all students will be required to submit a research paper for this course. Papers will follow the APA format (see guides posted on Blackboard). They must be typed in MS Word and saved; papers will be presented in black ink only. Per APA: papers must be double spaced, using a #12 Times New Roman font, “1” margins will be used on the sides, top, and bottom, papers must have a title page that includes, the college name, course name, and number, semester of assignment, student’s name, Professor’s name, and assignment title. The paper will only include a cover page, the text or body of the paper (minimum 4 pages), and a separate reference page (no abstract is to be used). Paper length will be a minimum of 4 full pages, excluding the cover page and reference page. A paper one sentence short of 4 pages will not pass. A minimum of four references, other than the course text, must be used.
