I mainly need the sources and how to put the presentation together. : Your research presentation proposal must adhere to the following guidelines: 1. Abstract and Title: 5 points Abstracts should be written after the full presentation is written and should be between 150-250 words on the first page of the paper. States clearly the question being asked & hypothesis being tested. Highlights most important findings and conclusions. Includes enough information to understand the research. Provides a concise summary of the paper. The title of the paper should be descriptive, appropriate, interesting, concise, precise, and unique, and should not be misleading. 2. Writing Style, APA formatting, & Citation/References: 10 points The presentation is well organized. There is good use of transitions. The ideas and content are presented clearly. The paragraphs are well-developed. Writing conventions are met; good sentence structure, correct grammar usage, punctuation, choice of terms, flow of logic, and spelling. The ideas are arranged logically to support the purpose or argument. They flow smoothly from one to another and are clearly linked to each other. The reader can follow the line of reasoning. APA format is used accurately and consistently in the slideshow and on the “References” page. Each citation in the text must be listed on the References page; each listing on the References page must appear in the text. Compelling evidence from professionally legitimate sources is given to support claims. Attribution is clear and fairly represented. References are primarily peer-reviewed professional journals or other approved sources (e.g., government documents, agency manuals, …). The reader is confident that the information and ideas can be trusted. The project should have at least 20 academic (library) references total. 3. Introduction and Literature Review (at least 10 pages/slides): 15 points -Introduction: Begin by broadly introducing the topic. Give the reader background and context to convey the importance or significance of your research. Identify the gaps and illustrate how the study will advance knowledge on the topic. The five components of a good introduction are the following: “(a) establishing the problem leading to the study, (b) reviewing the literature about the problem, (c) identifying deficiencies in the literature about the problem, (d) targeting an audience and noting the significance of the problem for this audience, and (e) identifying the purpose of the proposed study” (Creswell, 2014, p. 107). -Literature Review: Write a synthesized synopsis of current literature; not a list of everything that has ever been written about said subject.
