Part I –
Introduction and Background Information: provide an overview of the issue or health problem you are analyzing. Why is this an issue? How prevalent is the problem?
Provide in-depth background info on the issue, introduce the policy under review, and describe some historical development of the policy. (1.5-2 pages)
2. Policy Goals and Objectives – identify and discuss the stated goals and objectives of the policy, evaluate the clarity and coherence of these goals, discuss any potential conflicts or contradictions among the goals. Identify key stakeholders. (1.5-2 pages)
Part II –
- Policy Implementation – describe how the policy is implemented, discuss challenges or barriers to the implementation, evaluate the effectiveness of implementation strategy (1 – 1.5 pages)
- Policy Outcomes and Impacts – what are the outcomes or effects of the policy, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses. (1 – 1.5 pages)
- Recommendations and Conclusions – what do you recommend for the future of the policy as it relates to the current health care problem, is there evidence to justify your recommendation? (1 – 1.5 pages)
