Note: You are still working on the same health issue and community you chose from the assignment “Demand Analysis and Reflection”. You are creating a public health intervention based on the information you gathered from that first assignment.
- Baseline Budget: Develop a detailed budget for your intervention, outlining anticipated costs. Use this Basic Baseline Budget template (opens in a new window), as a starting point. Edit the template to fit the needs of your intervention as you ensure to address:
- Personnel & benefits: Salaries, fringe benefits, and training for all personnel involved in the intervention, including program staff, administrative support, and any contracted professionals.
- Promotion Efforts/Activities: Describe key outreach, educational, or engagement activities. Provide a cost estimate and explain why each activity is necessary for success..
- Resources/Materials: Costs associated with developing and producing educational materials, marketing campaigns, or other intervention-specific resources. This may include print materials, digital resources, multimedia content, equipment, technology, facilities needed for program activities, and any associated production or distribution costs.
- Contingency: Include a contingency to account for unexpected expenses or changes in the scope of the intervention.

- Target Population: Describe the specific characteristics of the target population, including demographics, health needs, and any relevant cultural or social factors.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify key stakeholders involved in the intervention, such as community partners, healthcare providers, policymakers, and funding agencies. Outline strategies for engaging and collaborating with these stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
- Intervention Activities: Detail the specific activities, strategies, and components of the intervention, including educational sessions, support groups, community events, policy advocacy, or environmental modifications.
- Timeline: Develop a detailed timeline for implementation, outlining key milestones, deadlines, and responsible parties for each activity.
- Processes and Procedures: In your outline, detail the processes and procedures for implementing each component of the intervention, including recruitment strategies, data collection methods, communication protocols, and ethical considerations. Ensure that these are supported by evidence-based methods and include relevant citations to support your choices.
- Submit your budget and comprehensive outline before the deadline.
