Part A will allow you to draft a plan to address the topic to enable you to complete the task in a timely and efficient manner.

Weighting and Word Count:

Part A (10%/ 5 marks) – 500 words

Part A of the Assessment task includes the following:

1. Describe the patient’s presenting problem and history.
2. Pathophysiology of the presenting acute condition.
3. The available findings include vital signs, patient history, and investigation results. Explain the findings are normal or abnormal using literature support.
4. Brief medical management plan.
5. Critical analysis of latest evidence-based nursing management for the selected condition ensuring that you prioritise the care needs.
6. How will the additional knowledge assist in your current or future practice?
