Practical Applications -LA County Library and how they use technology to improve public access to their services.

For my Practical Applications paper, I will focus on LA County Library and how they use technology to improve public access to their services. I think it’s really interesting how libraries have evolved—especially how LA County Library offers things like eBook apps, hotspot lending, self-checkout, and even online classes. These tools help people in the community stay connected, learn new things, and access resources from home.

I will explore how effective these tech programs are, especially in underserved areas. I also would like to look at how their use of technology reflects public service values and how it connects with a biblical perspective on service, equity, and supporting the community. I feel this will be a great way to tie in what we’ve been learning in class with something that’s really making an impact in everyday life.
