Submission format
- Provide the following information on the cover page: your name, student number, unit code, unit coordinator’s name, full title of your essay plan, actual word count (including notes and references), and extension (if you are given one);
- Use a readable font type (Arial or Times New Roman is the most preferred);
- Use 1.5 line-spacing and 12 point font size;
- Use spell check and proofread your essay plan before you submit it;
- Document format: .doc, .docx
- Attach email correspondence if you are given an extension. Try your best to comply with the word limit. Word limits encourage you to plan and structure your essay well, and to be concise and straight to the point. There is an allowance of 10% (over or under the word limit). Anything beyond 10% will be penalised in the order of 1 point per 100 words (either in excess or shortfall).
Use of AIWARNING! Do not cheat by using AI software (e.g., ChatGPT or Grammarly) or by asking someone else to write your essay (that’s called contract cheating). You aren’t doing yourself any favours and it’s highly unethical. If you’re struggling, please contact your unit coordinator.
