3. Develop a strong and specific thesis (with an Assertion and Essay Map containing 3 Main Points). Make sure your position is bold and clear, and support your thesis with concrete reasons and examples to prove your point and structure your essay response accordingly. Also, use direct quotes, paraphrases, and summaries from Alexie’s article in your response.
4. Use MLA formatting . Make sure that your name, your professor’s name, your class, and date are all listed on the essay. You should use In-text citations and You should have a Works Cited page, following MLA guidelines. You MUST have AT LEAST ONE Parenthetical in-text citation and ONE Works Cited entry.
