- Expand your search and identify three (3) pieces of evidence to inform your PICOT question.
- You must include evidence less than 5 years old.
- Your search must include at least one (1) piece of evidence from the following types:
- Research evidence
- Non-research evidence. Non-research evidence is limited to Level IV evidence, such as clinical practice guideline or consensus panels/position statements. If you are unable to find Level IV evidence on you topic, reach out to your faculty for approval to submit Level V evidence.
- Appraise each piece of evidence using the Appraisal Tools for Research and Non-research (Appendix EActions and Appendix FActions). As you appraise each piece of evidence, assign the article a number to help with tracking.
- Submit your completed Appraisal Tools along with the full text pdf articles by due date. You can submit Appraisal Tools as separate documents and include articles as separate attachments.
If you are not sure on the type of evidence of your selected evidence, you may consult another student.
