The Task
For this assessment, you will produce an evidence-based intervention plan that outlines actions essential for addressing the root cause(s) identified in your problem analysis from Assessment 1: Problem analysis.
Overview
The purpose of this assessment is to develop a proposal for a small-scale intervention that could be implemented in your educational context, to demonstrate your understanding of evidence-informed strategic intervention design, including how to use existing research literature to build a case for exploration, and how to critique and select suitable approaches. Develop an evidence-based action plan to address the teaching and learning problem.
- You will be assessed on your ability to align the identification of a problem of practice to an evidence-informed solution.

This one is based on Assignment 1. The teacher’s feedback in Assignment 1 is βThe problem identification was broad and the specific topic was not clear, beyond the “insufficient training given to new teachers about new technology and educational methods, alongside the lack of teaching resources.” This intervention required a narrower focus.
The visual of a Fishbone Diagram lacked detail and was not adequately developed to enable the identification of key causes.
An exhaustive analysis of key causes was based on theory and not a specific educational context as required by the Task Outline and Assessment Criteria. The absence of a practical case study meant that the root cause analysis was general rather than specific, inhibiting its quality.
.The implementation of the intervention is generic in nature drawing on a broad range of academic resources. The specificity of the intervention, its leverage points and challenges, could not be adequately critiqued without a specific educational context as its basis.
The Reference List was inaccurate and in-text citations contained errors. Language control and academic skills were of high quality but in neglecting one of the key demands of the task it was not possible to score high marks.
Ensure you have a clear understanding of Assignment 2, Task Outline and the Assessment Criteria. βPlease pay attention in this time.
