Master Thesis, 10,500 words in total using in-text citation and References List (at the end) in Harvard Style. The subject is: Cybersecurity in the Internet of Things (IoT): Analyzing Risks and Solutions in a Smart Home. Examine the growing threat landscape within IoT devices in a Smart Home and propose & assess security measures that could be adopted. The exact final title has not yet been determined, but it will be included in the above framework. You must initially: You must identify the scientific gap through a literature review. The research question and project objectives must be formulated. The research methodology will be: Simulation-based research (It is a quantitative approach where the answers to the research question must be deducted from the data collected.) I must choose a Smart Home Simulator of my choice: E.g. OpenSHS (Open Smart Home Simulator See ​​e.g. here for other available simulators (indicative and not limiting): https://fullcirclesecurity.org/2021/01/25/open-source-smart-home-simulators/ Choose whichever one the developer wants and it can work for the purpose of the work I will need to design a smart home with IoT devices in the Simulator and apply an attack or security related Scenario to one or more devices of my virtual smart home (e.g. Dos attack etc.). We need to describe 2 original scenarios (that have not already been studied by other researchers, based on bibliography, in this way) and apply them to the smart home of the Simulator. Then, after applying each scenario, we should study/record the results/behaviors that we observe in the devices/network of the smart home (e.g. delays, performance, etc.) After highlighting the impacts of the application of scenario, we will propose 2 solutions / security measures (1 solution per 1 scenario) and implement them in the simulator and prove that they are effective and work. Relevant screenshots from the simulator or a comprehensive video will need to be taken that will record the implementation of the scenarios, the results, and the implementation of the corresponding solutions. The author should deliver the chapters as drafts (at reasonably evenly distributed time intervals until the final deadline) AND NOT ALL WE WILL GET TOGETHER AT THE END (i.e. on 04/07/2025), in order to send the chapters one by one to the professor (so that he himself has time) to give me feedback. Initially, my professor wants me to tell him which simulator I chose and to send him the 1st scenario that I thought of and implemented with screenshots or videos through the simulator, in order to get feedback from the professor on whether he considers it to be of research interest. THE FIRST SCENARIO (implemented in the simulator) MUST BE SENT TO ME BY THE EXECUTIVE BY THE END OF MAY. Then I will convey instructions to the executive by the professor, FOR WHICH CHAPTER SHOULD TAKE PLACE NEXT, E.G. LITERATURE REVIEW ETC.
