Our project is centered around the Maintenance, upkeep, and retrofit theme. It focuses on reusing traditional office spaces to create adaptable areas that can be used for a variety of purposes beyond their original intent. The pandemic has inspired the shift from requiring traditional office spaces and large industrial buildings to prevalent remote and hybrid work models. Many companies have reduced the size of their offices, leading to the accumulation of abandoned spaces. This shift has resonated with us because it allows us to consider intelligent ways to reuse spaces in a manner that is sustainable and cost-effective, like modular designs, flexible furniture, and mixed-use programs.
