- For this assignment, identify the problem with background and statistics related to either incivility and workplace violence in your State, or the the criminalization of errors in your State. The background information provided in your introduction will relate to the topic you choose to discuss below.
- Then choose one:
- Assess the policies, practices, and culture of the unit/facility where you work or one you are familiar with related to incivility and WPV.
OR - Describe the current political climate in the State in where you live/practice related to the criminalization of errors, including any position statement from professional boards and any legislative initiatives that have occurred in the wake of the Vaught/Vanderbilt case.
- Assess the policies, practices, and culture of the unit/facility where you work or one you are familiar with related to incivility and WPV.
- Just like Just Culture can always be improved in a facility, policy and practice related to incivility, WPV and weaponization/criminalization of errors can be improved. Propose 3 interventions to improve/facilitate the practice for your chosen topic.
- You may choose the media of your choice for presenting your proposal.
- Post a written outline of your proposal in the discussion by the fourth day of the workshop.
- Respond to two classmates’ proposals by the end of the workshop. Your responses must be substantive, a minimum of three sentences and add to the overall discussion.
