Students are required to write a term paper. The term paper gives the student the opportunity to get deeply involved in a single topic, something that is not usually accomplished in most courses. The paper should be the culmination of research from several sources (at least eight journal articles). The term paper should be properly footnoted and end with a bibliography. Each paper will receive a grade based on the general quality of your work, including neatness, legibility, effort, originality, practicality, organization, readability, transition, and completeness. Any term paper topic is acceptable if it pertains to the subject matter of this course and is approved by the professor (please see the list of suggested topics posted in CANVAS). The paper should be approximately 20-25 typed, double-spaced pages, including references. The structure and organization of the term paper should start with an introduction, describing the relevance and importance of the selected topic, organization of the paper and expected conclusion, main headings, subheadings,
conclusions, and references. Please use the Chicago Style Citations of referencing.
