Write a paper that compares/contrasts the tone, setting, themes, and characters of both Weinstein’s “Rocket Night” and Jackson’s “The Lottery.” Be sure to note both the similarities and differences.
Your paper must be typed in MLA style (double spaced, 12-point font) with parenthetical references and a Works Cited page. Do not include a cover page.
Your primary source will be the work(s) from your textbook. You must also include at least four (4) secondary sources in addition to the work(s) from your textbook. Secondary sources will be any literary criticism written about the particular work(s) that you are discussing. In your paper, you should quote or paraphrase from your primary sources. You must quote at least once from each of your secondary sources, and you must list your sources on the works cited page. Your works cited page should have an entry for each of the works you are using from your textbook and your four secondary sources. (Be sure to alphabetize your works cited page). Secondary sources may be print or online scholarly articles, published essays, or books. The PSC Library database has several literature databases, so you should be able to find plenty of resources that are appropriate for a college-level literary research paper.
