Literature Review on Selected Independent and Dependent Variables, Industry/Sector, and Problem Area Guidelines Objective

Guidelines Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to enable students to:  Develop skills in conducting a comprehensive literature review.  Identify and synthesize relevant research articles related to their independent variable (IV), dependent variable (DV), selected industry/sector, and identified problem area.  Familiarize themselves with referencing academic work correctly using proper referencing styles (e.g., APA, MLA). Assignment Requirements: 1. Topic Selection: o Students must finalize their research topic, which includes:  Independent Variable (IV): (e.g., Employee Motivation, Leadership Style, Digital Transformation).  Dependent Variable (DV): (e.g., Employee Performance, Organizational Productivity, Customer Satisfaction).  Industry/Sector: Choose any specific industry or sector (e.g., Banking, Manufacturing, FMCG, IT, Education).  Problem Area: Clearly identify a relevant problem or gap related to the selected IV and DV within the chosen industry. 2. Literature Review: o Conduct an extensive review of academic literature on the selected IV, DV, industry, and problem area. o Use peer-reviewed journals, research articles, and credible academic sources (at least 20-25 references). o Discuss the theoretical and conceptual frameworks related to the IV and DV. o Identify and discuss relevant studies, trends, and gaps in the existing literature. 4. Structure of Assignment: o Title Page: Include assignment title, student name, ID, course name, and instructor’s name. o Literature Review (5,000-5,500 words):  Critical review of previous research related to the IV and DV.  Discussion of findings, theories, and key concepts.  Explore studies relevant to the selected industry and sector.  Identify gaps in the existing research and justify the need for further exploration. o Conclusion (300-500 words): Summarize the key points from the literature review and highlight the research gaps. o References: Provide a properly formatted reference list (APA or required style). o Appendices (if applicable): Include charts, tables, or any supplementary information. 5. Referencing: o Follow the APA 7th edition format for in-text citations and references. o All sources must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.
