Write a 5-7 page research paper or create a 10+ slide presentation OR a 5-7 minute video essay analyzing an internationally produced film or series episode of your choice, including the following criteria:
–a Works Cited page with at least 3 valid sources (news outlet such as NYTimes or academic .edu source) discussing the film, filmmaker or genre in a societal or cultural context. If you quote an article, make sure to cite it correctly according to MLA format. Use Google Scholar to find valid academic sources!
–assess the social critique embedded in the film or series and how this relates to cinematic elements such as mise en scene, editing and cinematography. See the Squid Game commentary below.
