my essay focuses on developing ethical and effective strategies for climate change communication in skeptical communities, particularly in regions where socio-economic challenges like poverty, food insecurity, and political instability overshadow climate concerns. It critiques existing approaches, such as scientific communication and emotional and sensitice communication strategies, for failing to engage these communities effectively. The proposed framework emphasizes community involvement, place-responsive strategies, and culturally relevant methods to build trust, link climate solutions to immediate needs, and foster long-term engagement. By integrating case studies, such as sustainable farming practices in Burkina Faso, Ghana and land restoration initiatives in Ethiopia, the essay demonstrates how ethical communication can bridge the gap between scientific understanding and local action, ultimately empowering communities to adopt sustainable practices.
