In this module, you explored authentic and holistic leadership along with strategies to build resiliency for your nursing practice.
After reviewing the module resources from this module:
- Identify what authentic and holistic leadership means to you.
- Summarize strategies to build resiliency. Discuss a time in your past where a strategy supported you in a time of need.
- What is the priority for YOU when leading others in a clinical setting?
Please cite at least two sources from module content and at least one scholarly article from a peer reviewed journal from your own external search.
Respond to at least two of your peers’ posts.

Due:
- Submit the DQAM prior to submitting the Module Initial Post (see course calendar), by Thursday, 11:58 pm.
- Post your Initial Post by Thursday (see course calendar), 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Post your Response Posts to your peers’ posts (at least two) by Sunday (see course calendar), 11:59 p.m. EST.
Discussion Guidelines and Rubric
- Submit your Initial Post summary content into the DQAM prior to submitting the module Initial Post by Thursday, 11:58 p.m. EST.
- Submit Initial Post summary to the Discussion Board in Canvas by Thursday, 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Your Initial Post should be approximately 250–300 words long. I usually allow a 10% overage in word count before deduction in points. There is to be no less than 250 words (word count excludes your name).
- Your name needs to be on both your Initial Post and Response Posts.
- Initial Discussion post should include references at the end of the post from textbooks, or scholarly research or/and evidence that support the points and topics of the discussion. (Blogs or editorials/commentary are not usually considered scholarly resources.
- Do NOT use direct quotations in Initial or Response Posts.
- Do not copy/paste prompts into your posts.
- Create a new paragraph for each prompt/idea.
- Submit your Response Posts in Canvas by Sunday, 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Your Response Posts should be approximately 100–150 words long (does not include salutations to your peers, peers’ names, your own name at the end of the post, or reference list), and should be substantive and engaging.
- In your Response Posts, identify your peers by their first name and either offer constructive feedback or ask questions to encourage discussion.
- All posts should be concise and reflect proficient writing standards and professionalism. Online comments should be grammatically correct, without misspelled words or unacceptable abbreviations. Please do not use text-messaging vernacular such as “LOL.” See netiquette section in the Start Here Module for more details.
- All submissions and citations should use APA (7th ed.) format. Note: If the indent does not hold when posting to the Discussion Board, points will not be deducted. The goal here is to help you develop the habit of citing and referencing resources used to support your professional discussions.
- You will be graded according to the rubric in the discussion menu. For help on how to access the rubric, see How do I view the rubric for my graded discussion?
