Abstract:
As artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the healthcare landscape, its role in enhancing operational tasks such as diagnostics and patient treatment planning is well-documented. However, AI’s impact on healthcare leadership and strategic decision-making remains under-explored. This study examines how healthcare administrators are integrating AI into decision-making processes, the evolving nature of leadership styles in AI-driven environments, and the ethical considerations associated with AI reliance. Through a series of case studies and interviews with healthcare leaders, this research investigates the ways AI influences strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and adaptive leadership approaches. It also addresses ethical challenges, including maintaining transparency, safeguarding patient privacy, and balancing human judgment with AI insights. Findings suggest that AI integration not only enhances administrative efficiency but also prompts a shift toward more data-centered, agile, and ethically attuned leadership practices in healthcare. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of AI’s transformative potential in healthcare administration and provides insights for leaders navigating the complexities of AI adoption in decision-making roles.
