Scholarly paper/Research paper: Each member of the class will complete an
8-9 page scholarly paper and prepare a a power point presentation on the
topic. This course is designed to cover a general understanding of the
discipline of Sociology. Consequently, there are many potential topics as
Sociology is pertinent to the understanding of society. It is important to
choose a topic that is of great interest to you as it will assist you in your
research. You will need to provide a sociological (i.e., theoretical) analysis of
the topic at some point in the paper. Do not dwell on personal experience;
rather, write a research paper based on scholarly sources. This paper will be
based on ACADEMIC sources only and needs to use ASA documentation.
You will need at least 5 scholarly sources.
