“A Comprehensive Review of Supply Chain and Logistics Strategies in the Global Hospitality Sector: Insights and Future Research Directions”

Write a 2000-word literature review based on your research statement and associated research questions.

• The literature review should include:
  • An introduction which begins by signposting the main themes or sections that will be presented in the chapter.
  • The introduction should also detail the scope of the review. The relevant inclusion/exclusion criteria should be outlined. Additionally key words, phrases and Boolean logic employed in the search defined.
  • Include at least 15 references from a variety of sources including textbooks, policy documents, manuals, and research papers. The chapter must include at least five (5) academic peer reviewed papers.
  • In most cases the literature utilized must be published in the last 10 years. Exceptions will be made for seminal writers/articles/books etc.
  • The body of the review should be arranged around several relevant themes to aid the development of your main argument(s).
  • A strong conclusion succinctly summarizing your key findings from the review finishes the chapter.
  • A set of 2-4 research objectives or hypotheses for your own study should be outlined at the end of the conclusion. These are informed by the findings from the review. They should naturally emerge from the key findings presented in the conclusion.

Layout and Formatting Requirements.

• Times New Roman font, size 12 with 1.5 line spacing
• Word count 2000-2200 excluding title page and references (10% penalty for being outside this limit)
• Include a title page with the following:
  • MTU and NMCI Logos
  • Module title
  • Assignment title
  • Lecturer name
  • Student name
  • Student number
  • Research statement
  • Research questions
• Page two should be Table of Contents.
• The completed assignment will be submitted on CANVAS. Penalties for late submissions: 1 week: -10%; 2 weeks: -20%; > 2 weeks: 0% marks awarded.
• The Harvard referencing system should be used for this assignment.

Some Guiding Questions

1. How extensive are the references? (Policy, manuals, texts, and research literature)
2. Does it include major theorists/authors/texts in the area (if appropriate)?
3. Are all aspects of the review relevant to the student’s own study?
4. Are the research objectives/hypotheses naturally developed from the findings and presented

at the end of the chapter?

1. Did the literature review end with a clear sense of what the project was

about?

1. Is there a critical introduction and conclusion?
2. Are sources referenced correctly? (Minimum of 15 references)
