In this assignment, you will produce a 15-minute presentation that analyzes the strength of an organization and recommends good financial decisions that will maximize shareholder wealth while taking into account multiple stakeholders.
Include the following aspects in your presentation:
1. Brief company background including any current business challenges, opportunities, and other newsworthy events
2. Highlights of the most recent Income Statement, Balance Sheet (Ch. 3), and Quarterly Report
3. Calculation of a total of at least 4 ratios (Ch. 4), and at least 2 different ones (current ratio, acid-test ratio, days in receivables, accounts receivable turnover, days in inventory, inventory turnover, operating return on assets, operating profit margin, total asset turnover, debt ratio, or price / earnings ratio). For example, you may decide to compare the firm’s debt ratio with a competitor, and compare their days in inventory with prior year (this is just one example). Be sure to cite where you found the numbers for your calculations and the formula you used.
4. Any business, operating, or financial risks the firm is facing (Ch. 12).
5. A stakeholder analysis (see the example attached)
Recommendations of good financial decisions
6. A discussion of the impact of your proposed financial decisions on key stakeholders
7. A reference slide (APA style)
8. Tip: Be sure to go beyond just the numbers, rather what the numbers mean.
9. Make sure your font is large enough (28pt. min) and your slides are not too wordy
10. Use some pictures to help the audience stay engaged
11. Ask questions and give the audience something to think about
12. Don’t forget to have a reference page
