Students will type all assignments using Times New Roman

spacing. Full compliance with APA formatting throughout the assignment and for
all citations and references.
I. Assignment 1 (5%): Submit topic for research paper to
include title page with running head, two or three sentence hypothesis and
expected conclusions. Title vs Running head: The title is your own unique given
name for your paper, while running head is a short version of your title (no
more than 50 characters), which must be in all CAPITAL LETTERS. The running head
will be found on all pages of your document and the top left-hand corner.
2. Assignment 2
(15%): Submit a well-written summary of 10 peer-reviewed journal articles
supporting the paper thesis. Each summary builds the database for the paper and
study design. Each summary should be no less than onehalf of an 8.5 X 11 sheet
in double-spaced, one-inch margin, Times New Roman 12-point font, with the
Author(s), Title of the article, Journal, year, volume, number and pages in APA
format.
3. Assignment 3 (10%): (two parts) Create and submit survey model that could be used to support the thesis of your research paper.
Submit an outline for your research paper. Title page with running head and
hypothesis should be included.
4. Assignment 4 (10%): Design a one-page abstract handout: A
minimum 3-minute (max 5 min) presentation on the paper will be delivered to the
class. Purpose of an abstract: It is to provide a brief summary which includes
the following, the reasoning on why the topic was chosen, findings to support
your reasoning, and your conclusion. Abstracts must not exceed 200 words.
References are generally saved for the body of the text. Do not include any of
your references in your abstract.

12-point font, double-spaced with one-inch margins • Have a minimum of 10
peer-reviewed journal sources (five of which are 9/2022 or later; eight of
which are 2014 or more recent publication dates). Older sources may be used for
historical perspective but cannot be the main sources for your paper. • Include
two text sources. o Internet and other sources will be considered only after
the peer-reviewed citation minimum is met.
