First part of the assignment: Watch the debate or read a transcript of the debate.

Be sure to pay attention to the following:

1. Messaging of both candidates. What are they focusing on? What are they not talking about?
2. Policy positions of each candidate. Where do they stand on key issues to the public?

Answer the following questions:

• React to the debate. How did each candidate perform? Were there any notable strengths/weaknesses for either candidate? Any key or surprising moments? (This section should be 1-2 paragraphs)
• Who do you believe won the debate? Why? (1-2 paragraphs).
• What is one question you have about each candidate following the debate?

I expect good responses will be approximately 3-4 sizable paragraphs. However, there are no word minimums or maximums.
