Decision-Making Context: Merchandising companies sell products to customers. They make money by selling the products for more than what they paid. In this lab, we compute the gross margin for each sale and then identify the company’s most profitable customers. This analysis allows merchandising companies to focus their efforts on selling more products to those customers, which in turn helps them make more profit overall.
