I am required to produce a report based on a case study organisation of my choosing. I will leave the case study organisation up to the writer to choose but i would suggest that the organisation must have a strong presence within the UK marketplace. Either on the high street or on the web and crucially that enough information around their digital capabilities and or transformation is available to produce a report on. The report outline is included below along with a very helpful and detailed descriptor of what should be included within the report.

To start this assignment, I think the place to begin is to really give some
serious thought very early on in the module to your choice of case study. It’s a
case study-based assignment, and we’re asking that students should select a case study organisation on which to base this assignment. The organisation could be any organisation that you like, perhaps the one that you’re
Working at or one that you are simply interested in. Crucially, you need to make sure that there is quite a lot of material out there for you to research and that you can find out quite a lot of information about the organisation you chose. So, when selecting a case study organisation to use, it makes sense to check through and make sure that there’s appropriate research information out there. The way that I would do this is I would select perhaps a range of possible organisations that I was interested in to use as a possible case study. Then I would set myself about a list of perhaps 21 keywords based around the topics and material covered within the core texts. I would then do some research using Google, Google Scholar and university resources and search tools. For my searches, I would use the name of your chosen Case Study Organisation and the keywords taken from the subject material. I would then go through and have a look to see which particular companies yielded the most research information in as many possible categories. I think I’d probably draw a table or a grid to help me do that.
Just one clue here from experience. One of the easiest categories of organisation to find information about are retail organisations. It’s important that you do this right at the start of the work because what it’s good to know pretty much from day one that the company you’ve chosen is going to have enough resources out there to research.
So, let’s take a look at the assessment brief,

We’re going to break it down and look at what might go into that.
The assignment briefing goes on and states the findings should be evaluated and practical recommendations should be made for improvements in the use of digital business models, digital capability, and digital business innovation within your case study organisation. So, we’re not just looking for some criticism and evaluation here, we’re also looking to make some practical recommendations as well, at the end of the assignment.
So, in order to assist you with this assignment, we’ve broken the assignment down into a report structure. The assignment requires you to produce a report, which is 2500 words in length. What I’ve done in this section is we’ve broken it down into a key set of sections that you need to actually achieve. Then finally, Section five, which is again 500 words and here we look for recommendations for improvements in digital business models, digital capability, and
digital business innovation within your chosen case study organisation.
Throughout the assignment, what you need to do is take a look through the core text and readings and then use academic knowledge to critically assess and to evaluate what’s happening in your case study organisation. Once you’ve done that research in sections two, three and four, come out with recommendations on those different topic areas about how improvements can be made for your particular case study Organisation.
