Proposal to use Digital Technology to Improve Performance of Your Current or Desired Organization

  Research an idea on how to apply digital technology to a problem or opportunity in your
current or foreseeable future work situation. The final deliverable should describe the
idea, make the case for why it should be pursued, and lay out a high-level project plan
for the first calendar month. Note this is a proposal – It is not a rear-view mirror to look
back at a project that has already been completed or is in progress.
If you are not sure where to start, think about how one of the following information
technologies or trends could be applied to your work situation:
• An administrative system or one or more modules of an enterprise system
• Mobile technology
• Cloud computing
• Big data/Analytics/Artificial intelligence
• Social software for business
• Industry-specific IT, e.g., clinical software for healthcare
Additionally, think of how you might use digital technology to reduce operating costs,
similar to the examples covered in this course. Note that the focus is less on the specific
technology and more on addressing the business and implementation considerations
required to deliver organizational value.
