Access an online or in-print news publication. Locate an article that discusses an ethical violation or dilemma involving a company or prominent, well-known person.
Prepare a one page, two to three paragraph memo. In the first paragraph, summarize the article. Be sure to include who, what, when, and where. Include the date and name of the article and the news publication.
In the second and/or third paragraphs, share your thoughts about the ethical issue. Do you think the violation is serious? Why or why not? Who do you think was hurt or adversely affected by the ethical issue? Why? What do you think the consequences should be? At the end of your memo, include the link to your article. (Do not attach a copy of the article to your memo.)
Remember, a paragraph is a minimum of 5 to 7 sentences.
