In addition to learning about the materials in the course reading, we also want to learn how to best present the information. There are 2 excerpts in Chapter 7, which are:
● Big Data’s Disparate Impact
● Where Fairness Fails Data, Algorithms, and the Limits of Antidiscrimination Discourse
Read each article, and then summarize the three articles in a 2-page article review. You should summarize each article in about one paragraph, and then the final section of your paper would be to highlight the primary lesson learned from reading each of the three articles. The key is to summarize the central lesson a person would/should learn from reading the three articles, so focus on the commonalities that one can summarize from the articles.
We are limiting this article review to 2 pages because we want students to learn to effectively and artfully summarize the information. It is difficult to do, so this is a great lesson to learn in this course and in this discipline.
Your paper should meet the following structural requirements:
● 2 pages in length, with no cover sheet.
● Use paragraph headings to better present your article review (similar to a newspaper or magazine article where there are headings guiding the reader through the article).
● You must include 2 citations within your review.
● Formatted according to APA 7th edition.
● Provide support for your statements with in-text citations from a minimum of two articles.
