Choose a modern comedian or TV show that uses satire and make connections between the kind of satire used in Hogarth’s Marriage a la Mode paintings, Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, Book IV, and/or Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro opera.
- Be sure to compare the kinds of social changes the satirists wanted in the 18th century to the social changes satirists want today.
