Analysis of ISO 9001 Non-Conformities in Selected Industries
The assignment is to investigate the common non-conformities with the ISO 9001:2015 standard within a specific industry of your choice and suggest corrective actions.
Project guidelines:
1. Clause Selection:
Begin by selecting three specific clauses from the ISO 9001 standard that you will investigate. Consider choosing clauses that are critical for quality management effectiveness within the industry you choose to study.
2. Industry Selection
Choose one of the following industries for your research: Hotels; Medical Centres; Universities, Manufacturing, or service sectors.
3. Research & Data Collection:
- Conduct detailed research to identify at least five common non-conformities (NCs) associated with each of the selected ISO 9001 clauses within the chosen industry.
- Distinguish between major and minor non-conformities. Major non-conformities are those that pose a significant risk to the quality or safety of the service or product, whereas minor non-conformities have a less critical impact.
4. Corrective Action Requests (CAR) Log Development:
For each identified non-conformity, develop a Corrective Action Request (CAR). This log should detail the non-conformity, suggest potential root causes, and propose actionable corrective measures to address the issue. The template is provided.
This assessment has 2 components: a written report and a presentation.
Report:
Compile your findings into a structured report. Around 1500 words. The template is provided.
