Part 2) Begin searching for secondary sources.
These can be articles about the stories or authors, articles in which other literature scholars analyze the stories. Be aware that it may be difficult to find scholarly criticism of some of the more recent stories.
Other types of useful secondary sources:
articles on AI in the real world, especially articles that weigh in our thoughts about this emergent technology.
The Invasion documentary we watched via Films on Demand and/or other similar sources related to science fiction or your specific approach to your topic.

Youtube, Wikipedia, etc.
Purely background/encyclopedia-type references. We don’t care that the author was born in Joplin, Missouri in 1979. We’re looking at the work.
