Research Question: How does Orientalism shape the discourse and narrative around Saudi women as represented by Fox News?

  1. What discourse is commonly used when describing Saudi women on Fox News?

  2. How does said discourse impact audiences or government narratives in the United States?

  3. How does Fox News provide a platform, if at all, for Saudi women to speak about their experiences?

  4. How did the discourse of Fox News shift during the political participation of Saudi women in the 2015 municipal elections and following the lifting of the driving ban on June 24th, 2018, by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman?
