Representing the defendant, you are using precedent set forth in the Tinker and Fraser cases, to then argue that your client (the defendant) did not act unjustly, and that Mr. Bellinger’s creation of the parody song was a substnatial disruption to the school environment (precedent from Tinker.) The paper should follow a proper legal argument, with a thesis paragraph, point headings, Bluebook citations throughout the paper with page numbers, and proper case illustrations and applications ( use IRAC format). All sources, cases, and facts will be provided. I have also included the evaluation form that will be used for grading.
A hypothetical case record is given. You must write a persuasive brief, as if you are the attorney for the Lincoln Heights Board of Education, against Mr. Bellinger. YOU ARE REPRESENTING THE DEFENDANT.
